Our Story

Our Beginnings

Double Diamond Cattle Company began with just a handful of cattle, very little knowledge, and a whole lot of ambition. Our second eldest, Taylor, was the first to ever hold the halter as she entered the show ring at the Washington County Fair in 2005. The cattle industry was not exactly up Taylor's alley, but it definitely was Matthew & Adrian's. Those two attended their first State Show in Brenham in 2008 and the rest is history. 

Breed Involvement

During Matthew and Adrian's Junior Career, they were both very active. The two have taken home awards in Quiz Bowl, Showmanship, Team Fitting, and Photography on a State and National level. Adrian was more inclined towards public speaking and board involvement having served on both state and national and President of the Texas association; while Matthew spent more of his time making sure the cattle were well taken care of and show day ready. Dubbed the "Dynamic Duo", Matthew and Adrian Whipple made their mark on the Brangus Breed and the family continues to do so even as their days at the end of the halter are behind them.
